UNBELIEVABLE : Meet Bertie The Fastest Tortoise Equivalent To Usain Bolt

They may not usually be known for being fast
movers, but Bertie is the tortoise equivalent to Usain
Bolt.
At his home in Adventure Valley, a family adventure
park in Brasside, Durham, UK, Bertie sprinted over a
5.48 m course set at a gradient of 1:12 in a speedy
19.59 seconds, consequently winning his title as the
Fastest tortoise in the world.
During his record-breaking run, Bertie reached an
incredible speed of 0.28 m/s (0.92 ft/sec), absolutely
smashing Charlie’s (UK) previous record of 0.125 m/s
which had been unchallenged since 1977.
Bertie’s proud owners Marco Calzini and his wife
Janine explain that when they discovered Charlie’s
record, they tested Bertie against it and he beat it
every time.
They made an application for the record, and
although slightly worried that Bertie might not feel
like performing on the day, his skill was not to be
undermined.
Since achieving his Guinness World Records title,
Bertie has become a local celebrity at Adventure
Valley.
He now lives in a luxury enclosure with his girlfriend
Shelly and his Guinness World Records certificate is
proudly displayed on the wall.
Speaking of Bertie’s inclusion in 2016 book, owner
Marco said, “I used to collect the Guinness World
Records books – my first was the 1980 edition – and I
fondly remember seeing them all in the shops. To be
in the book is a dream come true, a massive
achievement!”

NEWS: Man Who Calls Himself The Living God In Kenya Killed By Mosquitoes
Self-acclaimed 98-year-old living god in Kenya,
Jehovah Wanyonyi, is dead.

According to reports, the self-proclaimed god who
lived in Chemororoch village in Uasin Gishu County,
western Kenya died from malaria on July 18 on his
way to Cherangany Nursing Home in Kitale town.
Standard Digital reports that although the family of
the man claims their father, who is husband to many,
is still alive, local administrators say Jehovah
Wanyonyi passed away on July 18.
The leaders made it known that Wanyonyi died after
falling “very sick”. “The family came to me for a burial
permit after they claimed that Jehova Wanyonyi
succumbed to illness on his way to Cherangany
Nursing Home in Kitale town,” Kipsomba Chief Daniel
Busienei told The Standard.
When journalists visited the compound of the
deceased self-proclaimed god, his 70 wives and
children, were said to have gone violent, forcefully
pursuing the newsmen out of their compound. They
were said to have told the newsmen that they had no
business in the compound and that their god,
“mungu mwenye enzi” was safe. At first, there was
speculation that Jehovah had been hospitalised in
Cherangany before being transferred to Moi
Teaching and Referral hospital (MTRH) in Eldoret.
Reports made it known that Wanyonyi, who also has
an impressive number of followers in Uganda, had
back problems four years ago. This has made him to
be confined to a wheelchair at the home, where his
followers say he has 70 wives, 500 children and more
than 1,000 grandchildren. He was reported to have
said that he brought HIV/AIDS to earth as a
punishment to humanity for defying his
commandments. He claimed to be the Almighty God
and deemed Jesus Christ to be his son.
Not long ago, Dapo Adaralegbe, a former student of
Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) who transformed
into a female as Stephanie Rose got the attention of
onlookers when she/he lambasted God, saying he is
senseless and daft.

Teenager kills masked intruder holding gun to mum's head only to find out it was his dad
A teenager killed a masked intruder holding a gun to
mum's head - only to learn it was his dad.
Malachi Heisler shot his father John Heisler after he
broke into the house to speak to his estranged wife.
"I had about five to six seconds to make a decision,"
said the 18-year-old.
"By the time I did recognise him, the decision was
made."
Police said Heisler, 46, forced his way into the home,
smashing windows as he went, while decked out in
full black tactical gear, including a ski mask and thigh
holsters.
Investigators said they are continuing to probe the
incident, however the teenager is not expected to
face charges.
The attack came about five months after Malachi's
mother, Jolene Andrews, obtained a temporary
restraining order against him for another armed
break-in attempt.
That order was later extended until May 2016,
authorities said.
Pinellas County sheriff Bob Gualtieri said: "When you
open the door and you see somebody dressed in all
black, in fatigues, with a ski mask on and a gun in
your mother's face - he did the right thing."
Heisler was not only prohibited from entering the
home, but he was also banned from possessing
weapons.
Robbers now disguise as ATM users at night- FG warns
The Federal Government has called on Nigerians again to be very cautious and alert when using ATM machines at night, as armed robbers now lay ambush at ATM machine points, pretending to be ATM users and in the process rob unsuspecting victims.
This warning is contained in a statement released by Mrs. O.K Abegunde on behalf of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information
The statement read:
“The attention of the Federal Government has been drawn to the operation of armed robbers who attack members of the public while using the Automated Teller Machines (ATM) at night. The general public is advised to be vigilant and alert while using the ATM and should use machines that are located in well lit premises with adequate security around . Furthermore, the Federal Government advices all banks to ensure that ATM’s are situated in properly lit premises and should ensure that they engage night guards to enhance the safety of their customers.”
OHH NOT AGAIN: Four new cases of Ebola virus recorded!!!
Four new cases of the Ebola disease have been
recorded in Serra Leone. According to reports, those
infected with the disease had direct contact with a
woman who died of Ebola last month in a village.
This development not only poses a major setback to
all efforts to end the outbreak in Sierra Leone, but
also increases the likelihood of recording more
infections within Serra Leone and other neighboring
countries.
The Head of Sierra Leone’s National Ebola Response
Centre, Pallo Conteh, while speaking on the new
diagnoses, accused the family members of the
deceased of hiding her from health workers when
she was ill and resorting to taking care of her
themselves. Even after she died, they carried out
their traditional practice of washing the corpse of the
woman without the use proper disinfectants.
“Our people are stubborn. Until they stop doing
what I call the silly things we will have cases
popping up here and there. I am expecting more
cases,” Conteh said. “We are sure that the body
was washed … so all those who took part in the
washing of the corpse, all those who were
helping her when she was having wet symptoms
would all become infected.”he said

NEWS:Port Harcourt Refineries resumes full operation, produces 5 million liters of petrol per day
The Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation NNPC Ibe Kachiukwu today announced that the Port Harcourt refinery has resumed operations and produces 5 million liters of petrol per day. While addressing journalists in Port Harcourt Kachikwu said this recent development will help to stop the era of fuel shortage in the country. He says the plan is to ensure that all the refineries function optimally.
He also revealed that there are plans to engage the services of the Nigerian Air force using drones for surveillance of the petroleum pipelines across the country. Kachikukwu also revealed that the Warri refinery will begin full operation before this week ends.
